After exploring the US for weeks, we experienced one of the amusing parking garages. Touchless Parking System! Yes, you read that right. If you haven’t come across this term, touchless parking is the hoverboard to your skateboard. You’ll enter and exit the parking garage without touching anywhere except your car. In this post-pandemic scenario, everything is becoming touchless to maintain distance and hygiene.
How does the Touchless Parking System work?
I was visiting Atlanta Zoo with Ryan, my son, and I got to experience the touchless parking system. Being a technophile myself, it was super amusing for me. There wasn’t anyone to hand you or collect your ticket. I just scanned a QR code from my phone and parked my car. However, I could have also reserved a parking spot for myself through their app that is available for Android and iPhone. The mobile app will be essential when you visit there because I remember making the payment through it. Also, you can extend your parking time and don’t need to return to the meter if your parking time has expired. We had a lovely time at the zoo. And being a dad, touchless parking made my experience hassle-free. I wish this kind of parking to be available throughout the US.

How is the Touchless Parking System beneficial?
Out of curiosity, this got me thinking about the benefits of implementing the touchless parking system at Zoo Atlanta. This parking system is eco-friendly as it has eliminated using paper-based parking tickets, resulting in less litter. As the whole parking space is now digital, the users can access their portal and book the parking spot in advance. Surely you won’t need to look around for a parking space which enhances the customer experience. The parking owners will have access to data, that can be further utilized to improve their business decision.
In conclusion, my kids and I had a great time because of this simple technology integration. And I certainly hope many people will get benefit from it.
